Got this myself on my phone, and it simply declined to upgrade. Below's what helped me.

Edit: this appears to be an issue that Facebook recognize. It's an issue with the Facebook application, as well as not a generalised Play Shop concern.

This is what worked for me a minimum of.

  1. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Store, Clear information and Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Solutions > Manage space, Clear all information and also Clear cache


It doesn't hurt if you reboot your phone prior to you attempt upgrading facebook once again. And also, the install was SLOW. Simply at least 4-5 mins. However, it did job. If not attempt to uninstall it, or simply wait on a solution.
